The Rotterdam School of Management (RSM), for example, has five study advisors to help 6500 students with questions in the areas of efficient learning, study planning and study delays. Previously, the secretarial office would receive phone calls, emails, or students who would walk in to make an appointment multiple times a day. ‘That easily took five minutes per appointment,’ says Thea den Hartog, study advisor of RSM.
If a student later informed the secretariat by email that he/she wished to reschedule the appointment, then it would take several more emails and phone calls, all-in-all it would most probably take up twenty minutes of your time
